PAMP’s HistoryPAMP (Produits Artistiques Métaux Précieux), started Its business focusing on precious metals, including both mining and assaying precious metals, in addition to manufacturing. They were established originally in 1977, however in 1981, PAMP was acquired by MKS SA, and business continued to grow. MKS SA still own PAMP today. Today PAMP is a highly renowned provider of gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium bars for retail and wholesale markets. In addition to providing products to individual and retail investors, the company also provides a number of services to larger clients, including banks and governments. PAMP also produce a number of the bullion blanks used by government mints and financial institutions to produce coins and bars.
PAMP precious metals are accepted as good delivery by most major markets worldwide. These include the Swiss National Bank, the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), and the futures markets, including the COMEX. The PAMP Fortuna Series
PAMP was one of the first precious metals refineries to introduce an artistic image onto a precious metals bar - this series became known as the PAMP Fortuna series, and is one of the most renowned series available on the market to investors. The bars feature an image of Lady Fortuna inscribed on their front. The image of Lady Fortuna represents good luck. These bars are popular with both investors and collectors alike.
The PAMP Fortuna series is available in gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium. PAMP Fortuna gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars are available in a range of sizes, from 1 gram to 1 kilogram. The PAMP Fortuna Rhodium bar is currently only available in the 1 Ounce size.
All PAMP Fortuna bullion bars feature a serial number at the bottom. For smaller bars, up to 100 gram sizes, bars are sold in a certicard, which is designed to protect the bar. Larger bars are sold with an independent certificate, and are either sold without a case, or with a plastic case. Larger bars cannot be provided in a certicard due to their weight.
The PAMP Lunar Series
In 2011 PAMP also introduced the Lunar series, which has quickly become a highly sought after series among precious metals investors. Each year, a new bar is released, featuring an image of an animal associated with the Chinese lunar calendar. These bars are available in gold and in silver. The PAMP gold lunar series is available in 5 gram, 1 ounce and 100 gram sizes. The PAMP silver Lunar series is available in 10 gram, 1 Ounce and 100 Gram sizes.
