In the African Wildlife Elephant series, this large 10 oz silver coin is especially unique due to its size. This coin is new for 2022 and it is the 19th release in the Somalia Silver Elephant series. The Somalian Elephant coin is minted by the Bavarian State Mint which was first founded in 1158. The series first launched in 1999 and first began with silver and gold coins in Zambia. Since 2004 the coins have focused on Somalia and the range expanded in 2016 to include various sizes of the silver and gold coins. Each silver coin contains 10 ounces of .9999 pure silver and the coin comes in brilliant, uncirculated condition. When you order the coin for your collection, it arrives in a protective plastic capsule. Coins may be purchased individually or in multiples.
The reverse of the coin features a brand new design of an adult elephant with a child elephant in the savanna. Trees stand in the background, and birds are flying around the Elephants. The coin's weight and purity also feature this side. Meanwhile, the obverse of the coin features the national coat of arms of Somalia. The coin's face value of 1000 shillings and the year 2022 are also located on this side.
